What is RSS?

RSS allows you to quickly preview the latest Web pages on this site. Once you subscribe to the feed, a list of www.deeper-devotion.net pages appears in your browser's header. You then can see, without actually visiting the site, which pages have been added which you have not yet read.

RSS is a very handy tool for any site you want to follow. Once you get started, it's like having your favorite parts of the Web come to you. No need to go out and check for updates all the time. No need for bookmarks!

"RSS" stands for "Really Simple Syndication." But that's just a fancy way of saying that you can keep up with all the updates to this site without having to check the site every week to see "what's new."

How do you get started? It's easy!

Option 1: Download a free RSS Reader

Windows -- RssReader http://www.rssreader.com/
Mac -- NetNewsWire http://ranchero.com/netnewswire/

Once you're set up, here's all you have to do...

Right-click (control-click for Mac users) on the orange RSS button on any page of this site, or any blog or news source that interests you.
Select Copy Shortcut ("Copy Link to Clipboard" on a Mac)
Paste that URL into your RSS Reader.

That's it. You'll be subscribed.

Option 2: Web-based readers

A web-based reader is software that reads the RSS feeds. Click on any button below to subscribe to the RSS feed of this site through your choice of a web-based reader. If you don't yet have an account, you can set up one after clicking on the button.

You'll also see more social media buttons on most pages on this site (see the bookmark tab just above the bottom link section).

Quote of the Week

"There is nothing--no thing, no person, no experience, no thought, no joy or pain--that cannot be harvested and used for nourishment on our journey to God."
