Faith Formation

gardening tools

I believe God transforms lives. The process is messy, complex and unique for each individual. But it's beautiful to see how God accepts us as we are and gradually forms us into people we never dreamed we could be.

The term faith formation captures something essential about the transformation process. As Christians yield our lives to our Creator, faith is formed in us, which releases the potential to become more like Christ.

There's no program we can follow to get from 'here' to 'there' on the path of faith formation. Yet Biblical principles, understood and applied, are trustworthy guides to lead the way.

This page serves as a gateway to the Deeper Devotion articles on this theme. Early and advanced stages of growth to maturity are addressed. The more advanced articles fit in the sphere of spiritual formation, my focus area as a spiritual director. I offer my thoughts as a stimulus to your own growth and to that of others you may be helping on their way.

And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory,
are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory,
which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18
